Lastly, I would like to see the continued cooperation with other homeopathic and CAM organizations worldwide.
It is my hope the IAVH will continue to reach out to countries all over the world to build a stronger and more diverse homeopathic community.
Mirjam Blatnik
IAVH Treasurer
I come from Slovenia, where I live in a small village in the countryside. I am a vet and owner of “Veterinary clinic for small animals and horses”.
In 2004 I graduated from the Veterinary Faculty, University of Ljubljana.
Homeopathy took me over 14 years ago. In 2007 I was one of the founders of SVHD, Slovenian veterinary homeopathy association, and for the last 3 years I took over as the president of SVHD and National representative for IAVH. In 2012 I finished the vet homeopathy course, took the exam and received IAVH certificate.
I opened my clinic 7 years ago and since then I try to include and use as much homeopathy in everyday clinical work as possible.
Since the beginning of SVHD I participated in educating vets, promoting homeopathy, working with authorities on legislation and spreading the positive word about homeopathy.
As the treasurer of IAVH I will try to make the best use of long and short term budgetary goals, to ensure IAVH continues to work in educational, promotional, political and social area, keeping the existing members, inviting new members, new countries to become part of our association IAVH, organizing educational and social venues for the members, making networking easier, taking part in legal matters, starting e-learning – all goals which should not be difficult to achieve if we work together.

I live in Parma, northern Italy, (where I also have my practice) with my wife Valentina, two children, Pietro e Lupo, dogs - Clio and Monty, cats - Rock, Piccinaia and Margherita, a chicken
called Maria and a funny rooster called Furio. We also have two turtles called Ernesto and Fulmine.
I have been working in Parma as an homeopathic veterinary surgeon for over 20 years dealing especially with homeopathy, natural nutrition, internal medicine, anesthesiology, hematology and ultrasound. I am the Head of the OLIKOS Veterinary Center (www.olikos.org), a facility dedicated to the homeopathic care of pets that offers excellence in the field of homeopathic veterinary medicine. I practice homeopathy daily to treat companion animal diseases and the results I have obtained in recent years have convinced me of the effectiveness of this therapy.
In 1997 I enrolled at the Verona's Homeopathic School of Medicine, where I graduated. Since 2003 I have been a lecturer and a member of the Executive Council.
Now I teach at the Triennial School of Veterinary Homeopathy of the Italian Society of Veterinary Homeopathy (SIOV www.siov.org), of which I am President and founder since 2008.
My involvement with homeopathy does not only concern the clinical activity, but also the cultural and educational one. I’ve been the Coordinator of the Veterinary Section of the School of Homeopathic Medicine in Verona and Head of the Veterinary Department of F.I.A.M.O. until 2011 – Italian Federation of Homeopathic association (www.fiamo.it). I am an accredited veterinary Homeopath in Italy and I’ve recently receive the IAVH teachers certificate. Cinzia Ciarmatori
Vice General Scretary
I qualified at Camerino University in Italy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. I have more than 15 years experience in exotic, unconventional and wild animals medicine and
surgery. I also worked as veterinary anaesthetist for cats and dogs and I was medical director for the recovery centre for wild animals (CRAS) in the Marche region for three years. I got the General Practitioner Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice and the accreditation of the Italian Federation of Veterinary Orders (FNOVI) for medicine and surgery of small mammals, reptiles and amphibians. I have been studying veterinary homeopathy for 3 years with the Italian Society of Veterinary Homeopathy (SIOV) in 2014- 2017, with a final thesis on the hypothesis of use of homeopathy in recovery centres for wild animals.
Currently I work as freelance in conventional small animal veterinary medicine practices in the Marche and Tuscany, where I recently moved, as a consultant for homeopathy and integrated medicine for exotic, unconventional and wild animals but also for dogs and cats. I strongly believe in raw and natural feeding for all species; I believe in the importance of proper management for exotic species and conscious adoption of all animals. I also firmly believe in the important role of homeopathy in terms of environmental protection.
I am currently on the board of Italian Society of Veterinary Homeopathy (SIOV) as counsellor and teacher of the three-year veterinary homeopathy school.
My involvement with homeopathy does not only concern the clinical activity, but also the cultural and educational. I believe that one of the priorities for the IAVH must be education, at every level, the promotion of IAVH activities and standard worldwide, and the opportunity to support any country on education program as well as research and political activities.
