 President’s letter
Since I last sat and typed a President’s Letter, we have all suffered a grievous loss. I don’t wish to be morbid but, in losing Stuart Marston, we have lost a wonderful Hon. Sec., an ardent supporter of and worker for homeopathy (and veterinary homeopathy) and a friend.
To many of us Stuart was a very dear friend and his passing has left a huge hole. I don’t think it remiss of me to suggest that anyone reading this who knew Stuart should just create a quiet space for a few minutes to remember his contributions to fun, to laughter, to veterinary homeopathy and to life at the bar with jar in hand.

I have become very uncomfortable in using anything ‘google’ now, since that leviathan appears to have waged war on prominent ‘alternative’ websites. Their new algorithms have demoted top-ranking websites to out-of-sight levels in a search. They claim it is a crackdown on sites with messages unsupported by adequate references but when you see many sites that are still prominent, that is simply not the case and one drastically demoted site in particular is thoroughly and heavily referenced. This has resulted in quite a bit of research on my part for alternatives to the Google Groups we currently enjoy and changes
should happen before the big ‘C’, if Committee agrees. You will be kept informed.
We have worked on a pretty tough letter to RCVS and need to decide whether to send it soon now (after counsel approval) or to await developments on the Ombudsman/NHMRC
