about 2nd/3rd week of September and I have to say I really think it may just have done the trick. He is a much happier dog, really loving and far less reactive, even out walking we have met dogs by accident and nope, no reaction. He is less on his brother’s case too, allows him into the lounge without aggression. Also interestingly Andrew has gone away for a few days, and normally he sulks before he goes and is really unsettled when he is away, but this time he is absolutely fine and is not missing Andrew at all. So well done, think we got there in the end, we are just so thrilled, dare I say it, harmony in the house”.
3 months later
“Whatever you gave was amazing. He is so chilled. Still top dog but doesn’t react to Rupert, when he pushes the boundaries. Just says what he needs to with body language. He is much more attentive when walking, and just seems much happier”.
CASE 2
Molly – 9 year old collie, 10/10 lame for 3 months, lameness began 7 months ago. X ray shows calcification proximal to elbow joint. Had variety of opiates and NSAID’s from local vets.
19-5-2014: Into my surgery confidently, 10/10 lame right front. She went under my desk for 2 minutes – then out to owner for stroke – then
sat in front of him. She accepted my examination, well behaved. Pain on pressure and extension of elbow. Then lay on mat – relaxed – not clingy.
“Nose was put out of joint when got deerhound puppy. Molly used to use the dog flap, but now insists on the door being opened for her, as that is what we do for the deerhound”. “I am your favourite dog aren’t I”. She won’t let the puppy upstairs - “That is where I go to – this is my special place with the owners”. The Deerhound is now bigger and more attractive, and Molly being slightly left to one side”.
What is the most extraordinary thing about Molly?
She is loyal, always by your side. Wants attention every morning. On a walk she checks on all in the group – keeps track of everybody. If I am upset she comes and sticks her head in my lap.
Fears? – none, happy alone.
She barks a lot at anyone walking past – she
feels she needs to defend all the time. If male owner away, she barks more - “protecting the family”. If female owner is away she is restless and keeps going to the front door. She wants everyone there, to keep track, all in its place, the group OK. It is also like a mother instinct. She gets agitated if the deerhound is told to sit and she doesn’t.
Visitor? Not territorial, and wants to come up for attention – howls if put in another room. Obedient? Yes – eager to please.
She senses if something is wrong and worries. If other dog needs a poo in the night, she comes and tells the owners. She wants everything all in place – like she is OCD. She doesn’t like anything out of synch. If the owners are out the house, she becomes more barking, and becomes increasingly protective.
Is she restless? Not at all.
She is quite clairvoyant, and knows 5 minutes
before owner gets home.
If a group of dogs is playing on the hill and Molly is off the lead, what does she do? She gets protective and defends everyone. Once she has decided the other dogs are not a threat, she will say hello to them, and return to us.
Cuprum 30 C once daily plussed.
16-6-14: Within 2 weeks she was 90% improved. Taken her off all her painkillers. In my surgery wandered about without a limp. Is stiff when first gets up in morning.
17-7-14: 1/10 lame when rises in morning. A prescription of cupr-fl 30 C did not make any difference.
10-1-15: Totally fine.
“Don't mention the H word!” 9-11 September 2016 – Open Your Minds
Do you continually medicate your patients without considering cure? Do you wonder why they became ill, each in their own way?
Do you want to expand your options and explore something amazing?
A group of vets used nutraceuticals before most knew what they were. They first highlighted the over-vaccination of dogs in 2003. Now recognised by the WSAVA and progressive UK practices.
They advised natural feeding, including raw bones, nearly 20 years ago. For decades these vets have routinely taken into account the fact that mental stress causes chronic disease. Now fully acknowledged. Epigenetics grounded their practice for 200 years and is called miasm.
These cutting edge vets practice homeopathy.
