Small observations may well be the key
This is Basil who presented with extreme tension in his abdominal muscles on any touch. He was still eating and drinking as usual with no other symptoms of fever or illness except that he was less mobile and wouldn’t go on any stairs.
Blood testing and X rays were normal, and we assumed that he had injured his back, so we began treatment with acupuncture and Arnica 1M in 1 dose. He was sent home with Lycopodium LM01 to add to his drinking water.
2 days later he returned and there had been no change- if touched on his abdominal muscle he would become rigid. Acupuncture was repeated and Arnica 1m and this time he was given Hypericum 200c to add to his food and drink instead of the Lycopodium. Then 2 days later again when we changed to Carcinosin and Sepia!
2 days later the same-he was bright in himself but still this local rigidity on touch, so we ordered an ultrasound of the abdomen to be sure that something was not being missed internally.
When he was lying down on the table for his ultrasound he relaxed and let the specialist push on him! This was unusual so I asked the owners and they said yes, he can go soft in the belly when lying down. THIS WAS NOW ADDED TO MY REPERTORIZATION as you can see.
We changed immediately to Pulsatilla 200c, and he was better after 1 dose!
