Unusual medicine needed By Henry Stevenson, Australia
Cami is a 6-year-old Alaskan Malamute who has had a diagnosis of a Perianal gland tumour. This had been surgically removed along with many associated lymph nodes then she had undergone chemo etc, but the tumour had returned.
She came to our surgery where we began treatments including Vitamin C infusions and Acupuncture along with some Chinese herbal medicines. Homeopathic medicines were also given in an alternating fashion changing each 3 days from Ruta 6c then Carcinosin 200c.
2 weeks later there was a grief in the family, so these medicines were continued, but at that consultation she was given a one-off dose of Ignatia 1m.
A week later and her owner is now saying she is still very sad however she pushes at me during the visit for attention and now has a reverse sneeze. The Ruta/Carc were continued, and she was given a one-off dose of Phosphorus in a 200c potency.
The following 2 weeks were similar, and she was becoming rather flat and distant with the family. She was treated now by changing the alternating medicines to Sepia 200 with the Carcinosin 200c and an intercurrent dose of Nat mur 1m was tried. NO CHANGE.
Next visit one week later. The owner’s father has left the home and now added to the grief is a new feeling. The owner now says it is like SHE IS DISCONNECTED. She has lost the CONNECTION to them. She is no longer coming to greet them or interact. “She will only cuddle or go to the husband if he offers some offal treats but I guess that that is like chocolate.” She used to sleep in the owner’s room all night but now will not.
This time I gave one dose of CHOCOLATE 1M. Chocolate is from the Malvales family of plants where the feeling is detached then attached and separated then together. I was alerted by the owners use of words. The medicine changed things quickly and so is being repeated each week at present. It is not a medicine I expect to cure the cancer so other medicines are ongoing for the lesions (Sulphur then Lycopodium).
She is now greeting them and interacting again as she used to.
