Her owners thought she may have scratched the eye while scratching at the ear.
She was an indoor cat who got on well with their dog at home. She would scratch the owners, when they tried to put things in her eye. At night she would sleep on their beds and was still quite happy and playful apart from the eye issue. She was not scratching at the eye and they could see only a watery red eye discharge. There was a small redline along the gum line.
She will snuggle into them for affection and warmth and likes to sit in the sun. She is timid with strangers. Will sit on the laps of family members and is easy going. She drinks 1 cup of water daily.
This is the eye after about 3 weeks. There is less redness
and you can see some healing reaction around the ulcer. She stayed on Silica 30c twice daily but at this visit I gave a single dose of Syphilinum 200c to boost the healing.
There is not really anything individual to latch onto in the repertorisation and no Strange Rare things either.
One thing obvious is that the medicines showing up are very syphilitic and the ulcer itself was syphilitic hence the use of the intercurrent nosode.
The eye was healing slowly and steadily and after another 4 weeks at the end of May I changed to Silica in an LM01 to take daily.
4 weeks later at the end of June I decided to try to speed things along so at this visit I changed the medicine to Kali bichromicum 30c once daily orally and the Euphrasia MT was continued locally.
3 weeks later some further healing had occurred, but it seemed very slow. Now I gave Silica again but this time in one dose of 200c during the visit.
By August 1st she was back to being the king at home the owners report and she is hiding and jumping out at them again. The eye is 100% healed.
Back to normal.
