of Staph 200c.
One other thing to mention is that, during long working shifts, the owner had been leaving the puppy with her mother, who had an elderly GSD.
During a 4 week period, whilst the puppy was not visiting, as both owner and partner
were initially self-
isolating with
coronavirus and then
remained home due
to being furloughed,
the old GSD died in her
sleep. I think the nodule
first appeared at this
time, when Gandalf
should not have been
aware, but as he began visiting
again, he showed signs of missing the old dog; being unsettled at night in particular. I advised giving Arnica 30c daily for mental anguish as needed; or Pet Rescue Remedy, when he went there to stay
In conclusion, it is possible the nodule was a histiocytoma, and would have regressed sponta- neously. Given the propensity for Gandalf to produce scabs, though, I
am glad to have “done no harm” than to have done
nothing!
I repeated the Staphysagria at that time, as he had become sexually over-excited and was showing "peevish", back- stabbing and generally naughty traits; with a few skin scabs returning. I suspected the skin would settle better, when the original poorer quality dry food, being mixed with a good product, was no longer being used.
Gandalf has proved to be very sensitive to some remedies, generally going very quiet for twenty minutes to an hour after taking even a 30c potency of Staphysagria or Arnica. I discussed with the owner that, whist we didn’t want to alter Gandalf’s character development, he could be quite difficult to manage and often seemed to benefit from, and actually enjoy, the intermittent quietening effect .He
