Aspergillus niger – Dog Pip, female spayed, 8 years old, mixed breedJackRussel ByRuthBoerekamp,Netherlands
An important note: I didn’t only prescribe homeopathy in this case. I added an Icelandic oil with it and acupuncture (points dumai 4 LSO, bl13, LI11, ST36; one treatment with the first consultation). But the reaction of Aspergillus MK added was so prominent here with the happiness of the dog afterwards and playing again, which she hadn’t done for a long time. So the Aspergillus MK was of great value in this case.
Notes on the remedy
Aspergillus Niger is a homeopathic remedy that is used to maintain the healthy structure of organs, connective tissue, and mucous membranes within the body. In Germany, Aspergillus niger is known as a symbiotic bioregulatory species within the human microbiome. When the milieu (environment) in the body moves towards a congested and/or acidic state, tendency for lymphatic congestion and allergies leading to chronic degenerative conditions arise.
Practitioners use Aspergillus niger to support:
• Connective tissue
• Kidney and bladder health
• Mucous membrane inflammation
• Sensitivity and exposure to mould
• Lungs, airways, and respiratory tract health
• Allergies, including skin itching and reactions
• Lymphatic congestion and immune weakness
• Musculoskeletal structural support of the bones, joints,
ligaments, tendons and muscles Aspergillus niger von Tighem 1867
Update from January 2023: The owner reports that the dog is fine but now she [the owner] has pneumonia! Maybe she should take Aspergillus as well with the drainage – just like the dog?
Anamnesis (consultation November 2022)
Pip was on a surfboard with her owner on vacation when they came across dirty water.
This is what happened to the dog afterwards (summer 2022:
• Severe folliculitis on the nose
• Episodes of "hotspot" – blisters with pain/itching (July
and September frequent episodes)
• Redness of the skin
• The dog is sick, tired and not comfortable.
The regular vet prescribed rapidexon (antibiotics) and corticosteroids a couple of times. In the end it healed but it was not immediately solved at this point. After that, a couple of episodes reoccured – a couple of months later in September.
Blood allergy test revealed Aspergillus.
The owner visited my practice in November 2022 with Pip. The nose was "resting" but she wanted some preventive medication and not the desensitisation protocol from the regular vet (injections with the allergens was recommended).
History
1 cm bladder stone removed in [previous] winter, several episodes with cystitis. The owner gave solidago complex for this.
Nice, lovely sweet dog, (pulsatilla like dog with her energy).
Prescription
• Drainage (All Septicum): herb mix remedy (tincture for infections)
• Homeopathic remedy: ASPERGILLUS MK 2 times a week 2-5 drops in a bottle. (MK was the best out of the test with the Lecher-antenna; kind like bioresonance testing tool I use in practice sometimes) – other frequencies of Aspergillus didn't do the job or were less matching.
• Solidago complex tested well on this dog.
Follow-up
• Within a week the dog became happier and more playful, (comes with a toy etc, which she didn't do before). She is running around the house, like in the old days – very happy again the owner noticed.
Comments
I chose a drainage remedy ointment. This to help the cell cleansing and the immune system with this fungus; also because of the corticosteroids and antibiotics that had been used – sometimes giving a “vail” over the case which sometimes stops a remedy from doing its job properly. Also helping the remedy match better when pollutions are “washed out” by a drainage remedy.
So, why not Aspergillus? It matched with the filthy water, and the algae/fungus energy that I thought maybe matched well in this case.
With pollution happening all over the world we should remember Aspergillus as well as other fungi, chemicals etc in your prescriptions of homeopathy.
