If you do not have a lot of space, but desire a garden, then choose natives, exotics, or cottage style plants that can grow in pots, but remember if you do not like to spend much time looking after them, make sure you choose those that require very little maintenance, this includes low water requirements and feeding requirements.
Note: Potted plants often require a little more attention than plants that are grown in the ground, so remember time spent caring for your plant brings it's own rich rewards.
