SIENA ARBORIO

ITALIAN RISOTTO RICE

Arborio rice traditionally grown in Italy is short grain pearly, oval shape rice. The rice is known to undergo

less milling to retain its natural starch content than normal rice variants to develop a rich creamy texture

while cooking. Unlike other rice variants, Arborio rice has the ability to absorb 4-5 times its weight in
liquid without losing any of its structure during the slow cooking process. Ideally used in risottos and is
also perfect for other Mediterranean dishes such as the Spanish paella, and stuffed vegetables.

Like all types of rice, Arborio rice is low in fat and high in carbohydrates.
