                           Collecting Ephemera                                       Antique and vintage postcards are a popular

      use, ephemera was never meant to be preserved for posterity. However, it is precisely
      this fleeting quality that makes such items so appealing to collectors today.
        The study and collecting of ephemera provide valuable insight into cultural, social,
      and economic history. A 19th-century trade card, for example, can reveal much
