September 7 Homecoming - Service with our Lay Associates
A time for reflection, a mingling of water that people have
collected over the summer, and a way of reminding ourselves
of the home we share, a home we come back to, a home
where we welcome all to make their own.
September 14 Be More Tree: Wisdom for Healing and
Resilience - Sara Miller
Sara Miller dives into the wild ride of mysterious illness,
moving from uncertainty and control toward surrender and
trust in the sacred unfolding of life’s process. Inspired by
the wisdom of trees and lived experience, Sara uncovers
important teachings about letting go, tuning into your body’s
messages, and leaning into the power of community.
September 21 Finding Justice – Paul Hadley
Paul Hadley, who was the Director of the Madison County
Public Defender’s Office for over 20 years, reflects on his
work defending indigent clients. He explores a lawyer’s role
in compassionately helping clients find justice and equity.
September 28 Community is the Heart of Healing - John
Camilieri & Debra Faust
A sense of belonging acts as a foundation for individual
well-being. It influences how we view the world and interact
with others. Having access to community spaces where we
can bring our whole selves and encourage authenticity helps
us to process, understand, and navigate the challenges and
complexities of societal change. Individual well-being is
intertwined with the community’s health, making health and
healing a collective responsibility.
