USER DEFINED LIST (UDL) TRAINING (UDL) by Kasey

January 16, 2025 was a great day to be in the Finance Corps, COL Toler, SGM Bergeron, MSG
Minder, SFC Scott and Ms. Kasey Smith provided UDL training to 21st Theater Sustainment
Command and the US Army Finance Center of Excellence (USAFCE) in Europe. Army Military Pay
Offices (AMPOs), working with Human Resources Command (HRC) and the IPPS-A Team had
harnessed the IPPS-A capability for units to create an encrypted user defined list (UDL) within
IPPS-A. The units can then use the UDLs to securely route the documents needing approval and
signature and then routing those documents them to the local pay office for processing. The team
provided the training via Teams with 210 Soldiers and DA Civilians attending. Participants learned
the UDL process and had a chance to ask questions and get their concerns addressed. The UDL
process to support military pay processes has been implemented successfully for last year in
CONUS and recently by the new AMPO in Korea.
