Commander’s Comments:
As the mission in support of CENTCOM continues to evolve rapidly, the 106 FI BN is prepared to
th
support as required. What has materialized rapidly are a number of short-notice requests for SRP
support across Germany as units prepare to deploy. We have been flexible and proactive in supporting
these requests, as there are often insufficient civilian personnel available to perform entitlement

verification across Germany’s garrisons. We continue to balance our steady-state finance support
missions ISO of EUCOM and AFRICOM while we incorporate CENTCOM support, IAW 16SB priorities.

We also bid a fond farewell to the BN XO, MAJ Nick Bartley. His absence will truly be felt across the
formation. As a long-term member of the BN from the earliest days of its activation, his personal touch
can be seen in so many of the plans that drive the BN’s current operations. He established enduring
systems that have kept the BN within the top tier of readiness within the BDE. He applied a sincere
personal approach to developing the BN staff through coaching and mentorship, which will continue to
have lasting effects well beyond his tenure. We wish him well in his future assignment at the Pentagon.

MAJ Bartley’s farewell

Fund the Fight – BN Disbursing and B/106th completed the site stand-up of disbursing operations in
Vicenza, beginning the first day of business on 11 MAR 2026. HHC's SSG Martinez and PFC Rana
completed a cash resupply mission to AO Victory, supplying an additional $1 million worth of currency
into Poland and Romania to maintain disbursing operations readiness. Additionally, disbursing agents
at all three companies have processed multiple payments to enable operations across both the EUCOM
and AFRICOM AOs, including $40,000 to maintain 3SFG FOBs in Libya, $10,000 worth of construction
and training equipment for NSWTG-E training in Lithuania, and $15,000 worth of fuel payments to enable
movements for SAG-U.

The 106th Finance Battalion, in coordination with the 21st TSC FIOC and the FCE, provided teams from
7-11 MAR 2026 to execute short-notice SRPs in Baumholder and Grafenwoehr, processing over 200
th
Soldiers from the 44th Expeditionary Signal BN, 57 ADA / 10th AAMDC, and 15 Engineer BN. The team
identified multiple pay and personnel issues, including COLA, BAQ, in-processing, PACID issues, debt,
meal deductions, and no-pay cases that would have otherwise degraded deployment readiness. Their

rapid corrections ensured that Soldiers are ready to support the CENTCOM theater.
