The quality of the firms in LawyersAccountants.com is of highest importance. They are all members of professional
services networks. Each organization has stringent standards, along with a review policy for admission and
continuation of membership.
There are two basic types of professional services networks: branded and non-branded. These are the primary
models for global services.
Branded network member firms use the same name in each state or country. In accounting, the most well-
known examples are PWC, EY, Deloitte, and KPMG. In law, examples are Dentons, Baker McKenzie, and
DLA.
Non-branded networks/associations examples in accounting are GGI, MSI, and DFK. Examples in law are
Lex Mundi, TerraLex, and Meritas.
Inclusion in LawyersAccountants.com requires that a law or accounting firm be a member of a non-branded
network/association.
Requirements for networks in LawyersAccountants.com:
Vetting of member firms before admission
Local professionals
Access to hundreds of offices through the network
Personal and professional relationships developed over 20+ years
Established network policies
Multiple regional and global meetings
Practice area committees
How is an RFQ different from an RFP?
The usual way to choose a firm for any legal or accounting matter is to do a Request for Proposal (RFP). The
company selects a number of firms that qualify and provides them with details of the matter, after which the
chosen firms provide proposals. Several firms may be chosen for additional discussions. This process can
take weeks and is very costly.
RFQs short-circuit the RFP process because one can be done in Watch a 2-minute video
