f. Control of each cylinder oil quantity

For a multi-cylinder diesel engine, the difference in the injection quantity of each cylinder will cause the
fluctuation of diesel engine speed. Cummins series diesel engine judes the difference of each cylinder
injection quantity through the change of diesel engine speed when each cylinder performs firing stroke and
modifies it so as to reduce the fluctuation of diesel engine speed.
g. Control of start pre-heating

When the intake heating is controlled by ECM and the ambient temperature is smaller than -10℃, the system
improves the startability of diesel engine at low temperature by controlling the power-on time of intake heater.
h. Failure diagnosis function

ECM has a fault diagnosis function. When ECM detects any fault signal, the fault lamp will go on first, while
it will store the fault signal as a fault code, and the repairmen will remove the fault accordingly.
i. Safety protection function

The system has safety protection function. For example, at abnormal inlet temperature, pressure and cooling
fluid temperature, etc and higher altitude, the system will protect the diesel engine by reducing oil; in
addition, when any fault occurs to the sensor, etc, the system can still work by some model, thus the vehicle
can reach the maintenance point.
