04-34 VEHICLE CARE - INSPECTION
CHECK THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION LUBRICATING OIL
LEVEL (6HP21)
Danger:
Take personal protection measures to prevent injuries arising out of the hot oil.
1. Put the vehicle on a lifter levelly.
2. Connect the vehicle diagnoser to check the oil temperature at any time.
3. Start the engine, and deactivate the ESP mode. Have the engine idling, and
maintain the transmission at R gear and D gear for 3s respectively. Then switch
on the manual mode, lightly depress the accelerator pedal, and maintain the
transmission at M1-M2-M3 for 3s respectively. Engage the “P” gear and apply
the hand brake. This operation is to ensure that the torque converter and all cylinder
oil passages are filled with oil.
Danger:
In this process, it is not allowed to remove the oil level inspection bolt; otherwise the
oil may be injected.
4. Confirm that following conditions are met:
•The engine revolution reaches 650~950r/min and the oil temperature reaches
40±10℃ .
•Wait till the transmission output shaft or wheel stops for at least 2 minutes.
5. Remove the oil level bolt.

6. Check whether the oil level is just appropriate to give rise to overflow.
•If the oil flows out stably, wait till the oil starts to drop.
•If the oil doesn’t flow out, add oil till the oil starts to drop
7. Tighten the oil level bolt
