GENERAL INSPECTION

1. Inspection of cylinder compression pressure
WARNING:
The hot engine may cause serious scalds.
NOTICE:
When the fuel pump relay is removed or the electric subassembly is removed, ECU will
receive an error message. After the cylinder pressure test is done, such error message
must be deleted from the fault memory using the diagnoser.
(a). Before checking the cylinder pressure, ensure that the starter and the battery are
running normally.
(b). Remove the fuel pump relay. 12C
(c). Disconnect the fuel system relay and fuse, or disconnect the fuel injector wiring
harness connector.
(d). Remove the ignition coil.
(e). Remove the spark plug.

(f). Fit the special tool ( compression pressure
gauge) into the spark plug hole.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal,
and turn the ignition switch to the start
position till the pressure indicated by the
testing device stops rising.
Standard pressure: 13 ± 1 bar
NOTICE:
Each time the ignition switch shall be turned to

fuwx12C003 the start position within 10 s to avoid damages of
relevant parts.

(g). Remove the special tool (compression pressure gauge).
(h). Install the spark plug.
(i). Install the ignition coil.
