Congratulations to the Achievers of 2021. You have been an extraordinary group of young men and I applaud you for your commitment, intelligence, abilities and resourcefulness. Today is the culmination of your participation in this year’s program and you graduate with honors to the status of an Alumni Achiever.
As you begin your college career in the upcoming decade, take full advantage of all the experiences that college has to offer. Strive to do your best.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, “A person’s greatest attribute is to serve mankind.” As you move forward and become successful, remember to give back your talents and time to your community.

As a tri chair, It has been my esteemed pleasure to participate in your matriculation through the Achiever Program culminating in the Affair of Honor.
You have matured into upstanding young men and I am honored to have played a part in this process. I am excited and enthused for all you will accomplish.
Remain persistent and deliberate in your quest to reach and even exceed your goals. Remember, there are no limitations to completing your journey successfully. You are your ancestors’ wildest dreams. I am extremely proud!

Congratulations on your completion of the 40th Class of the Angel City Links Achiever Program. Today, you stand on the shoulders of over one thousand young men who preceded you, and this is your moment to shine. As you bask in the limelight, please remember to show gratitude to those who provided you with the structure and motivation that allowed you to grow and thrive. Be thankful for the love and support of your parents, grandparents and other significant members of your community who encouraged and challenged you to reach above and beyond your limits.
Value the lessons absorbed while surviving the COVID-19 pandemic. Concentrate on the blessings gained while navigating and adapting to new societal norms. Reflect on the strength, fortitude, motivation and resilience mustered to continue achieving in spite of adversity. Widen your path and broaden your horizons as you seek to transform the world, especially in the area of social justice.
You are the shining stars of the future. We, the Angel City Links, treasure you for your commitment, dedication, and steadfast participation in the Achiever Program. Continue to keep sight of your goals, work hard, stay committed, celebrate life, learn and grow from your challenges, and become men dedicated to others while sharing the bonds of brotherhood.
