Angel City Chapter has launched a community awareness campaign supporting the Links Inc. “Help for Humanity’s SOIL” program.
Five-Hundred dollars was donated by the Achievement Trust for the “Help for Humanity” program on behalf of the Achiever class of 2021.
The goals of the program are to provide education to our community in order to assist people of African ancestry to live with dignity – providing opportunities for clean water, supplies for personal hygiene, medical attention and supplies. The Links, Inc. “Help for Humanity” program aims to provide 1,000 toilets to the women, girls and families of Haiti. To date, 6,500 people have accessed toilets through SOIL’s growing urban sanitation service, 510 tons of waste transformed into agricultural grade compost last year, nurturing plant growth and resilience to climate change, and more than 1,000 people have benefitted from SOIL’s educational programs and resources each year.
