03.3 Stage 3: Blue 4A and Advanced Blue 6B (Archeology) (2024)
Trail 4a will open up the western side of the hill and greatly increase the length of fun engaging trail. Trail 6b will be
the first advanced trail at the site. Local riders will now have had the opportunity to up skill on the trails in stage 2
and an advanced trail will give those riders the next stage in their progression and a new challenge. These trails will
be heading into an archeological sensitive area and therefore an archaeological assessment will be required, further
detail included in section 09.2. There is a budget included of $5,000 for interpretative signage in the archeology
zone. We recommend this is done in conjunction with the archeologist and Switzers museum.
TOTAL $225,125

STAGE NOTE: During this stage of the works, the thinning of the 6 year growth should be in effect. With the clear commu-
nication protocols set out in the proposed SDC MOU the Trust will have a clear idea of proposed works / timescales
and can adapt accordingly. There may be an opportunity to keep a section of the forest open at certain times such
3as weekends or schedule works during the winter whilst recreational visitors are lower.
