CORNER Muhammad Aminu
Sani Makes History as
One of the Nation’s
Youngest Commercial
Pilots.
“Becoming a pilot has always been
my childhood dream. Today, I’m
proud to say I’m living that dream
and enjoying every moment.”
Muhammad Aminu Sani has made his mark in Nigeria’s aviation history as one of the
youngest Nigerians to earn a U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Multi-
Engine Pilot License. He achieved this at Phoenix East Aviation (PEA) in Daytona Beach,
Florida.
What sets Aminu’s achievement apart is not just his age but also his performance. He finished
the intense flight training program in under 12 months, passing every stage without any
checkride failures. This record is exceptional, even among experienced pilots.
Before he took to the skies, Aminu demonstrated academic excellence by graduating with
Distinction in Economics Foundation from The Regent College in July 2024. His journey
showcases discipline, resilience, and determination, serving as an inspiration for many young
Nigerians with global dreams.
“Becoming a pilot has always been my childhood dream. Today, I’m proud to say I’m living
that dream and enjoying every moment,” Aminu said proudly.
It’s been an incredible experience. It’s demanding but very rewarding. I hope my story
encourages others to chase their dreams and never give up on their beliefs.”
