The children’s journey into the “Lifecycle of a Plant” theme led them to a hands-on ex-
ploration of planting beans and corn, immersing them in the wonders of nature’s growth

process. As they nurtured these plants, they also embarked on a culinary adventure, dis-
covering the myriad of foods crafted from beans and corn. It was a delightful experience

witnessing their active engagement, from peeling beans to unwrapping seasoning cubes,
and meticulously washing and sifting corn, all in preparation for our beloved traditional
delicacy, ‘Akara and pap.’ This experience not only celebrated the rich flavors but also

highlighted the profound cultural significance ingrained in these ingredients.
