We have explored village lifestyle, opportunities and challenges throughout our Theme class
this term, and to consolidate our learning, the year 4 pupils celebrated a village day to
showcase how people trade in less economically developed communities in order to make
ends meet.

The children learnt how to bargain and persuade customers to buy from them, learning about
daily struggles and triumphs. They experienced the vibrant markets and discovered the art of
bargaining.
They also had the pleasure of listening to Grandma Nkem (lmisi’s Grandmother) tell some
folktales as it is done in villages. It was sure a memorable day for all the Learners.
