Dear Parents and Students,

the event was the importance of
leadership in our school community, and
the responsibility this leadership brings.
Being a prefect is not just a title, it’s an
opportunity to serve, inspire, and guide your
peers and over the coming months we are
all looking forward to seeing our student
leaders grow as they serve our school.
The highlight of the ceremony was the
introduction of our new prefects, each
selected for their exemplary behaviour,
commitment to their studies, and
willingness to help others.

As they stood proudly in front of their peers,
parents, and teachers, the sense of excitement
and responsibility was palpable. Each prefect
took their oath of office and received a badge,
symbolising their new role and the trust placed
in them by our school community.
The ceremony was supported by two
musicians; Adam Alao performing “Careless
Whisper” on the Saxophone and Janet Jin
performing “Carry Me Back to Old Virginny
and Minuet in G” on the Piano. Their moving
renditions further reinforced the concept of
leadership and the celebration of student skills
within our school. It was a wonderful
opportunity to celebrate not only the new
prefects but also the sense of community that
makes our school so special.
As we embark on this new academic year, we
look forward to seeing our prefects thrive in
their roles, fostering a spirit of cooperation and
kindness throughout the school. We
encourage all students to support their
prefects and to remember that
leadership is a shared responsibility.
