Colours Colourful Ties
he school was crowded. Many people from
the school and outside were all interact-
T ing as they bought items, food and drinks
from the vendors in the school. There were also
cool games in the funfair like bungee jumping,
slip-n-slide and archery slots, all set up to enter-
tain us. As I walked around the field I noticed a
trend going on where many people were wear-
ing nicely designed ties. I asked and I was led to
Mr. Olawuyi’s wife where she sold the famous ties
everyone had been wearing.
I saw impressive artwork on the bleachers, en-
joyed flavorful food, and witnessed exciting raffle
draws. It was a great day!
Time flew by and the funfair ended and prepara-
tion for the concert began. We headed towards
the area where the concert was set up and the
MC began the event. Music played and we sang
long as the MC hyped us up. Shortly after that,
there was a little fashion show where students
were dressed in renewable art. They all looked
pleasant and minutes after it was time for the
moment we’d all been waiting for… Young John.
Although he sang only a couple of songs it was
still a wonderful experience. In the end, I’d say
that the fun fair was an amazing event that I
would love to attend again.
