Children at early childhood foundation schools get a great deal from studying music since it is a holis-
tic developmental tool that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Children
learn to actively listen, explore rhythm, and express themselves via music, which improves their fine
motor and auditory discriminating skills. Additionally, engaging in musical activities promotes social
development by fostering cooperation, empathy, and communication as students connect with others
in group settings. Furthermore, music fosters creativity, self-expression, and emotional control and

offers a secure medium for feeling exploration and comprehension. In addition, early exposure to a
variety of musical traditions fosters a feeling of global citizenship by promoting cultural understanding
and appreciation. In general, using music in early education not only makes a positive impact on chil-
dren’s life but also establishes a solid basis for their future academic performance and general growth.
This week, as part of their phonics lesson, the Playgroup team went to the music room to play and lis-
ten to music. The listening skills of the kids were observed. This is a crucial ability needed to read.
