                                                                    Inter-House       Cooking       Competition
                                                              Twas  an  unforgettable  experience,
                                                              and I was thrilled to be part of it!
                                                              This year’s theme was Yemeni cuisine, but we
                                                              only found out we would be making Mandi

                                                              the  moment  we  stepped  into  the  kitchen.
                                                              With just 1 hour and 30 minutes to cook and
                                                              plate one of the most technically demanding
                                                              dishes  in  the  Arabic  world,  teamwork  and
                                                              quick  thinking  were  everything.  Getting  the
                                                              rice  right,  the  meat  tender,  and  the  spices
                                                              balanced  under  that  kind  of  time  pressure
                                                              was no joke.


                                                              As  the  judges  made  their  way  around  the
                                                              plates,  the  tension  was  real.Hearing  our
                                                              house announced as joint winners was
                                                              an incredible moment. Sharing the victory
                                                              made it even sweeter, honestly. Beyond the
                                                              result, I walked away with new skills, a deeper
                                                              appreciation for Yemeni food, and memories

                                                              I will not forget in a hurry.
