hough shortened to just three days, this
T year’s Languages Week proved that the

depth of an experience isn’t measured by
its length. We began with French Day, a cultural im-
mersion that reminded us how language carries
not just words but identity, history, and worldview.

Through food, music, and expression, we stepped
into another world yet found echoes of ourselves. A Bridge

Thursday was Book Day, themed Reading is Mag-
ic. The magic lies not in the pages but in what they Beyond
awaken within us. Buying and exploring books wasn’t
written word, after all, survives its author and travels Words!
just about adding to shelves, but about opening
windows into thought, imagination, and truth. The

           into the reader, changing both.

           Friday’s assembly reimagined Shakespeare through
drama. His words, centuries old, found fresh breath
in youthful voices. That is the power of language it
lives again each time it is spoken, interpreted, or felt.

Languages Week reminded us that language is
                                                                                                    20
more than communication; it is a vessel for thought,
a bridge across time, and a tool for transformation.
Whether French or English, on paper or stage, lan-
guage helps us make sense of ourselves and the
           world around us.
