NEW PARENT ORIENTATION
NEW PARENT ORIENTATION
The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on
Wednesday, 11th September 2024, hosted a
New Parent Orientation meeting for all the
new families who joined our community this
new academic session and at the end of the
last term.
This meeting was well-attended as the SLT
welcomed the parents and took them through
a slide show explaining who we are as a
school, what we hope to achieve, the curricu-
lum we offer and how we can work as partners
to meet the needs of their children.
The presentation was a combination, show-
casing what each department in the school
comprised regarding teaching and classroom
routines. Mrs Elizabeth Amos and Mrs Amelia
Ibiejugba handled the Early Years, while Ms
Juliet handled the Primary provision.
Our new parents listened keenly and asked detailed questions at the end. The presenters answered all
the questions asked. Also, Mrs Ajayi, our School Relations Manager, buttressed some areas highlighted
in the presentation. Some of the questions asked included;
1. How do we encourage the children in the early years to eat the meals served?
2. Our swimming provision in the curriculum, where it takes place and if it is compulsory?
3. How are the children in the Early Years assessed during the term?
4. Is Global Perspective offered in the curriculum for the Primary?
It was an interactive session with the parents in attendance nodding in agreement, showing they had
made the right choice to join the school. The SLT
shared the slides used during the presentation on
the Class Dojo for other new parents who could
not attend this session due to other planned engage-
ments.
We welcome all our new parents to our community
and wish them a successful academic session. Please
remember that we operate an open-door policy
and are always open to listening to concerns about
your child’s learning and social development at our
school.
