 THE EDITOR’S NOTE  03                 Dear Parents and Students,


                                       I am delighted to share with you the thrilling highlights of our

                                       recent Sports Day at The Regent Primary School—an event
 EARLY YEARS SPORTS DAY  05            that truly embodied the spirit of teamwork, determination,

                                       and sportsmanship. This year’s Sports Day was a grand two-
                                       day  affair,  filled  with  energy,  excitement,  and  outstanding
 MARCH PAST  06                        performances from our young athletes.



                                       The festivities commenced on Thursday, 13th February, with the
                                       Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) taking centre stage. The
 PERFORMANCES  24                                                little ones exhibited boundless enthusiasm as they participated


                                       in a variety of fun-filled activities specially designed for them.
      From lively obstacle courses  to  thrilling  relay races, their  enthusiasm was  infectious,
 PARENTS RACE  28  bringing smiles to the faces of parents and teachers alike. The sight of our youngest

      learners running, jumping, and giving their best was truly heartwarming, setting a high-
      spirited tone for the entire event.

      On Friday, 14th February, the excitement escalated as students from Year 1 to Year 6

      took to the field for a series of competitive and engaging athletics and field games. The
      atmosphere was electric, with students displaying remarkable athleticism, resilience,
 PRIMARY YEARS SPORTS DAY  32  and sportsmanship. Parents and teachers cheered enthusiastically from the sidelines,
      offering unwavering support and encouragement. Events such as the sprints, long jump,

      shot put, and relay races kept everyone on the edge of their seats, showcasing the
 MARCH PAST   34  incredible dedication and perseverance of our students.


      Beyond the competition, Sports Day served as a fantastic opportunity to highlight the

      numerous benefits of physical activity. Engaging in sports promotes not only physical
 PERFORMANCES  50  fitness  but  also  discipline,  teamwork,  and  self-confidence.  It  teaches  our  students

      invaluable life skills, such as setting goals, striving for excellence, and embracing both
      victory and defeat with grace. Moreover, the camaraderie and House spirit displayed

 PARENTS RACE  52  throughout the event reinforced the sense of belonging and unity that makes The Regent
      Primary School such a special place.


      At the conclusion of this exhilarating two-day event, we proudly announced the final
