Headmaster’s Note
Dear Parents and Students,
CONTENTS Welcome back to the final half-term of the academic year. I
hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break with your families.
HEADMASTER’S NOTE 03 As we step into these last few weeks, there is a tangible sense of
excitement, growth, and anticipation across the school.
This half-term is a significant one, particularly as our pupils
continue to take on greater responsibility—both in their learning
WELCOME BACK 04 and in the way they prepare for the changes ahead.
This week’s Reception–Year 1 and Year 3–Year 4 transition meetings were a wonderful
opportunity to meet with many of you and begin preparing children for the next steps
HOLIDAY WRITING FUN 08 in their journey. Transition is a time of change, and for our younger pupils, these early
conversations help to lay the foundations for confidence and readiness. It was fantastic
to see so many families engaging with staff, asking thoughtful questions, and already

Similarly, pupils across other year groups are now deep in preparation for end-of-year
assessments. We continue to remind our students that exams are not just about results,
BLASTING INTO SPACE 12 but about effort, resilience, and learning how to prepare and perform under pressure.
These are vital life skills, and it’s been encouraging to see so many children taking
initiative with revision, attending booster sessions, and setting personal goals.
EXPECTATIONS FOR TERM 3.2 14 Attendance remains absolutely vital in this final half-term. Each day in school is packed
with learning, preparation, and important moments of closure for the year. Whether
it’s mastering new skills, completing assessments, taking part in transition events, or
simply enjoying time with friends and staff, being present allows your child to make the
STEPPING INTO NUMBERS 16 most of every opportunity. As always, we encourage families to prioritise punctuality
and consistent attendance to ensure that every child finishes the year feeling confident,
connected, and ready for the future.
BUILDING OUR OWN HOUSE MODELS 18 As always, we are here to support every pupil at every stage. Staff are working hard to
ensure that transitions, assessments, and goodbyes are handled with care and positivity.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to help every child finish
CRAFTING CREATIVE SOUNDS 20 the year with pride, purpose, and readiness for what comes next.
With warm regards.
