The Headmaster’s Address

WOW!

What a term!

As another term draws to a close, I look back with a sense of immense pride in all that we
have accomplished.

Whether it be the success of our sports teams in the swimming galas, football competitions,
the variety of extra curricular clubs that our children have enjoyed or the dedication and
hard work of our teachers that have allowed us to continue to excel, this term has been an
endless source of amazement and wonder.

Whilst our activities and academic successes have given me an immense sense of pride,
it is the children themselves who have continuously left me with a sense of awe. I like many
of you have particulalrly enjoyed our Friday mornings, where our arrival has been greeted
by our talented musicians and I am looking forward to seeing other talents showcased in
the coming term.

Our students have continued to show an impressive level of commitment to both their
learning and the wider school events, and this has been instrumental in both their success
and the success of the school this term. As parents, your support has been essential in

these achievements and, on behalf of all the staff, I thank you for your continued support.

Planning is already well underwaty for next term where we will see some brand new units of
study rolled out across the school, providing our students with a broader and richer learning
experience. The calendar for Term 2 will be shared shortly. However, here are a few key
dates for you to put into your calendars:

• January 8th -9th Parent Teacher Conferences
• January 11th Mock Exams (Year 6)
• January 16th – Drivers’ Workshop
• February 6th - Spring Production

For many of you, this holiday will be a chance to spend time with friends and family, either
here in Abuja, or further a field. If, like me, you are travelling, I wish you a safe journey. If you
are celebrating, a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year. I would encourage you
all to provide opportunities for your children to rest and recharge too, and I look forward to

welcoming you back on Monday 6th January 2024.
