                                                                                                                                 Morning drop-off has become very congested, with many of you queueing for some time
                                                                                                                                 before you can drop your children, which can be frustrating. Adversely, we are finding that
                                                                                                                                 many of our children are not arriving in time for the start of lessons at 8 am. This start time
                                                                                                                                 is essential as the children move into their phonics or spelling groups every morning at 8
                                                                                                                                 am for a 20-minute lesson. The children who regularly arrive late miss a crucial part of their
                                                                                                                                 learning.

                                                                                                                                 To help with this, we have decided to open the gates at 7:25 am from now on to allow par-
                                                                                                                                 ents to drop their children earlier. Hopefully, this will give us plenty of time to have everyone
                                                                                                                                 in class ready to go by 8 o’clock.

                                                                                                                                 However, most parents arrive around 7:45-7:50, the busiest time with cars queueing up and
                                                                                                                                 down the road. Parents trying to drop off at 7:50 often queue for up to 10 minutes. To avoid
                                                                                                                                 the long queues in the morning, we recommend arriving earlier at 7:25 am and 7:35 am, al-
                                                                                                                                 lowing for a quick and seamless drop-off before heading to work.
