Victory at the Maths Champions League – A Thrilling Second Win

t the start of the competition, I felt prepared
and confident that we would win. However,

Aafter realising we had to wait around 12
minutes before our turn, my confidence wavered
slightly. Despite this, I still believed in our chances.

When the challenge began, my excitement was
mixed with nerves, as I had no idea who our
opponents would be or how strong they were.
Fortunately, when I saw that the round featured

‘Maths Ninja’—a challenge I had tackled before—I
felt more at ease. The questions were manageable,
but as we reached the set of 10 questions, the

pressure intensified. We managed only one correct
answer out of three, leading to a tense tiebreaker.

In a dramatic finish, my teammate Dubem secured
victory with an incredible last-second answer,

earning us exactly five points. The competition
had been neck and neck, and if we had lost that
final question, we would have lost everything.

Winning for the second year in a row was an
exhilarating experience, especially since Dubem
and I were the same team from last year. If the
opportunity arises in Year 7, I would love to compete

again and aim for another win!
