IT’S WORLD BOOK DAY!

World Book Day this year had a personal touch, with the students fully invested in creating
their characters and book covers. Seeing their creativity come through as they translated their
ideas into actual characters was amazing. The students participated in various class activities for
the day.

The class teachers included our amazing parents as they came in their
numbers to read to the students and com- plete other activities
surrounding book day. We had Mrs Omo- lara Akinwolere,
the owner of Lara Craft, come in to read stories from her
book series on the adventures of Lara, a fictional charac-
ter based on the Nigerian Context. The students enjoyed
listening to her stories and also had the opportunity
to use technology by scanning the codes in the
book to listen to local sounds and dia- lects.

To cap the day, we had books and

resources on sale, all manufactured by
Lara Craft. We thank our parents for
buying books for their children.
