Step into the world of outdoor learning with our Year 2 students as they embark on an exciting
math adventure that brings the concept of rounding 2-digit numbers to life! The playground
became a vibrant classroom with engaging activities reinforcing this fundamental skill.
In the spirit of friendly competition, our Year twos engaged in a throwing game, number race

and placing cards on a number line that required quick thinking and rounding on the spot.
Throwing beanbags and measuring their distance honed their ability to round 2-digit numbers
swiftly and accurately, creating an environment of playful learning.

This outdoor math activity solidified the concept of rounding 2-digit numbers to the nearest
ten and instilled a love for mathematics in our Year 2 students. As they laughed, played, and
learned together, the school grounds became a canvas for mathematical exploration, proving
that learning knows no boundaries outdoors!
