Good afternoon, everyone.
ALEXA I t’s honestly such a special feeling to be
standing here today, and as I stand before
you, I can’t help but be filled with gratitude
UMAKHIHE for the journey that brought me back to this hall.
My name is Alexa, and I graduated from
Regent in 2018. Being back in this hall
of the growth, laughter, and challenges that
CLASS OF 2018 brings back so many fond memories—
I faced during my time here, and how every
WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY SPEECH one of those moments contributed to shaping
the person I am today. And as I look around,
I’m reminded of what a gift it is to be part of
this incredible community—a community that
many of you are still in the middle of experi-
encing, and trust me when I say, the value of
this experience will reveal itself in due time.
If there’s one thing I want to leave you with
today, it’s this: don’t take it for granted.
Secondary school can sometimes feel like a
blur of responsibilities, assignments, and dead-
lines. There’s an ever-present pressure to get
good grades, to plan for university, and to think
about your future. It’s all too easy to slip into
the mindset of simply trying to “get through it,”
without fully appreciating the significance of
the journey. But I promise you, one day, when
you look back, you’ll realise—these years mat-
tered, far more than you could ever imagine.
You’re not just in any school.
You’re at Regent, a place where you are seen,
where you are constantly pushed to be your
