A Fresh Start at Abuja World Academy
My first day at Abuja World Academy was a blend of excitement and those
all-too-familiar first-day jitters. The day began with a series of introductory
activities that, while a bit routine, helped me get acquainted with my new
environment and classmates. Despite the somewhat uneventful start, I
found myself enjoying these activities more than I anticipated.
Having come from an Islamic school where music wasn’t part of the
curriculum, I was both curious and a bit apprehensive about diving into this
new subject. To my delight, I found a genuine enthusiasm for it. Our music
teacher, Mr. Peace, quickly became a favorite of mine. His amazing smile
and positive vibe make each lesson something to eagerly anticipate. It’s
clear that Mr. Peace is dedicated to making music both enjoyable and
accessible for everyone.
My form tutor, Mr. Arah, also played a crucial role in making the day feel
welcoming. His approachable and supportive demeanor helped ease any
nerves about starting at a new school. It’s evident that Mr. Arah genuinely
car es about his students and is committed to helping us settle in smoothly.
The warm and friendly atmosphere extended beyond the staff to the
students. Everyone was open and kind, which made it easy to strike up
conversations and make new friends. The teachers, with their warm smiles,
helped create a positive and reassuring environment.
On a practical note, the school uniform turned out to be surprisingly
comfortable, which was a pleasant surprise given my initial concerns.
Overall, my first day at Abuja World Academy was a promising start to what
I hope will be an exciting and rewarding school year. I’m looking forward to
diving deeper into my music classes, continuing to make new friends, and
embracing all the opportunities this new school has to offer.
