epresenting Benue House in the
inter-house football competition
R was exhilarating. In our opening
match against Congo House in the girls’
category, the intensity led to a 0-0 draw,
pushing us to a penalty shootout. Chidalu
scored impressively, Congo responded,
and then it was my turn – unfortunate-
ly, I missed. However, Homachi’s saves
turned the tide in our favor, securing our
spot in the finals.
We faced Volta in the final and the match
was fierce. With just 5 minutes remaining,
I managed to score a crucial goal, bring-
ing immense joy and pride. We defended
vigorously for the remaining time, and as
the referee blew the final whistle, the cel-
ebration erupted. Winning the final was
an extraordinary moment, and the relief
and satisfaction were palpable.
Special thanks to our coaches for guid-
ing us and to Busayo and Mrs. Halima for
their relentless support during practices.
Without them, this success wouldn’t have
been possible – a heartfelt thank you.
