RECEPTION
Last Friday, the Reception children enjoyed an exciting visit from three important helpers of our school
community in review of our Theme topic “Community Helpers”—the School Nurse, Chief Security Officer, and
School Chef.
The School Nurse showed the children some of her medical tools and explained how she helps keep everyone
healthy. The Chief Security Officer spoke about staying safe in school and how security officers protect our
community. The School Chef shared how meals are prepared and led the children in a fun cooking role-play that
they thoroughly enjoyed.
The children asked wonderful questions and were inspired by each guest. It was a meaningful opportunity to
appreciate the people who help our school run smoothly every day.
We are grateful to our school community helpers for making the day so memorable!
