he atmosphere was great, yet so scary. I
felt tense. I thought of all the possible bad

myself together, so immediately Mrs.Ebere went
onto the stage, I led the line, and as soon as I

I was really happy to be receiving an award, but
the reality dawned upon me, I had to get BETTER.
I was in 13th place, it was nice to get an award,
but I needed to climb up the ladder. Right then
and there I realised the Competition was TOUGH,
so I said to myself with conviction: “I have to be
better, I need to get better, and I will be better”

felt so happy and excited to get accolades
for the first time as all my hard work wasn’t
I for nothing. After the person in front of me
got called I felt so scared but pushed it out of
my mind when Mrs Ebere Williams called my
name and then I walked to get the award with
pride. I felt happy to be receiving the award but
I was in 10th place and I knew I could do better
and reach the top 5. So I vowed to myself to get
a better score for the next accolades.
