From the
Editorial Desk
t has been an eventful week at The Regent Secondary
School, filled with activities that challenged our
I students to think deeply, explore new experiences,
and reflect on their aspirations. From career guidance
sessions to industry visits, each moment added
another layer to their journey of learning and discovery.
Earlier in the week, the Year 11 cohort had their ‘Drop-
Valentine Thomas | Editor Down-Day’. It offers them the opportunity to formally
reflect on their ambition and to map out a definite
course for their future careers. It was an experience
to share, and you will find it all in Pages 10–13.
Educational trips never stop at The Regent Secondary
School. Also, last week, some of the students paid a visit
to the 7Up Bottling Company, where they had a first-
hand experience of the soft drink bottling process. You
are welcome to join them, but first flip to pages 14 and 15.
Page 17 features a very educational article from Year 8 Volta,
while pages 18 and 19 present creative reflections from
our students, filled with insight and youthful perspective.
The issue, as always, captures the energy, curiosity,
and thoughtful spirit that define our school community.
So, take your time with every page. There is something here
for everyone—stories of learning, growth, and discovery that
remind us why education is a journey worth celebrating.
