UNIVERSITY PLACEMENT
The Placement Office will ensure that the Final Results are sent on behalf of students to
their University Choices, but to guarantee a faster response, the documents can be sent
individually, especially for schools with student applicant portals. However, while we await
the results, parents are to ensure that the following steps are taken.
First on the list is the tuberculosis test, which is compulsory for all students progressing to
the UK. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the only licensed
organization for the test; its offices are in Abuja and Lagos. Please click here to book
online before going to the venue.
Furthermore, please confirm that the student’s preferred Universities do not require
IELTS by checking the conditions of the offer received or sending an enquiry email to the
universities regarding this. Some universities will accept a minimum Credit pass in
O’Levels English in place of the IELTS result, while others will insist on taking the test
with a particular overall score.
Also worthy of note is the tuition deposit. Most universities require a certain amount of the
tuition to be deposited before receiving the Confirmation for Acceptance of Studies (CAS)
letter. In addition, kindly ensure that the tuition balance and living costs are put in an
account for 30 days before applying for the visa.
Finally, UCAS clearing and extras are now open for those who may want to apply to a
different University. Kindly note that you must confirm the availability of the course with
the new university before proceeding.
I am available for questions regarding the university and visa application processes.
