It was an enlightening session which was
led by professionals and alumni in various
fields of endeavour.
here was a particular barbecued meat (suya) seller at a
street corner in the town where I once resided. One peculiar
thing about him was that whoever went to him to buy ‘suya’
T would be sure to be given a piece of the meat to taste. Of
course, some people may taste and fail to buy eventually, but do
not ask if I ever did that. The bottom line here is that one is allowed
to get a good feel of what he was going to buy.
In the same vein, the Year 9 students went through sessions of
taster lessons last week in preparation for academic life in Key
Stage 4. You would want to read their feedback on page 8. Having
concluded their taster lessons.
As characteristic of The Regent Secondary School, to help students
make the right choices for their career path, a virtual careers fair
was held last weekend. It was an enlightening session, which was
led by professionals and alumni in various fields of endeavour.

You must agree with me that a person who works hard deserves
to unwind a little. That moment came again last Friday when the
school staff converged to have a nice time. Perhaps ‘nice’ would be
a gross understatement when you must have flipped from page 12
to 15.
The Medical Corner educates us this week on an issue that is
perhaps common to everyone. Please go to page 18 for a good
understanding of how to deal with it. Please do not stop flipping the
pages till you get to the back page.
