Oghenevoke Harold-Gbinije (Year 9 Benue) shares
her experience during the 2025 Options Day

he recent IGCSE Options Day was
                a pivotal experience that clarified
T my future academic and career
aspirations. It kicked off with Mr Akin
        providing insights into various career
websites and the subjects relevant to
different professions. This set a practical
tone, highlighting the link between our
                                                                     It helped me understand
        IGCSE choices and future opportunities.
Mr Inyang followed with a presentation
                                                                     how each subject aligns
        on pathways available after secondary
school, offering a broader perspective. with my interests and

were given the freedom to disperse with
our parents to the various subject tables.
        This one-on-one interaction with the
teachers was incredibly valuable. I started
        at the Environmental Management table
with Mr Sony, then moved on to French

with Ms Oledibe, followed by Physics with
Mr Razaq, and finally Art with Mrs Decker.

        Engaging with these educators, with
        my parents offering their perspectives,
transformed the day. It helped me
understand how each subject aligns with
        my interests and long-term goals.
