What Plants need to Grow

YEAR 3

Our young scientists had a fun and exciting time during their Science lesson on Conditions
Necessary for Plant Growth.To bring the topic to life, the children planted bean seeds and
explored what plants need to grow — sunlight, air, water, and good soil.

With shovels in their hands,
soil in their cups, and big
smiles on their faces, they

carefully placed the seeds in
soil, watered them, and chose
the best spots to get plenty of
sunshine. It was wonderful
watching their curiosity bloom
as they talked about what
might happen next!

This hands-on activity helped

the children understand that
growing plants takes patience,
care, and attention. They can’t
wait to see their bean plants
sprout and grow in the coming
days! It was truly a memorable
lesson that made science come
alive in the most exciting way.
