MATHS WORKSHOP
Our EYFS Parent Math Workshop had a fantastic turnout of parents, which aimed to edu-
cate parents about Maths in the Early Years, the teaching methods used, and the resources
available for continuous exploration by the children to reinforce their learning.
During the math workshop, teachers engaged parents in various learning experiences cover-
ing topics from the Playgroup to Reception classes.
Parents also understood how to appropriately reinforce math lessons at home, aligned with
the same teaching style used in schools.
Such organised training is an excellent resource for parents who want to assist their child’s
mathematical learning and growth. When the home and school use the same teaching strat-
egies, children pick up mathematical ideas quickly, making their understanding well-balanced
and effective.
