“The Power of Small Acts of Love and Kindness on Love and Care Day”

Love and Care Day is a special day @ Abuja Prep dedicated to celebrating

love, care, and kindness. While grand gestures are often appreciated, the small,
thoughtful acts of love and affection immensely impact people’s lives. These

small acts can be as simple as a warm smile, a kind word, a thoughtful gesture,

or a small gift, but they bring so much joy and happiness to someone’s day.

On Friday, students dressed in their pyjamas came in with a smile and gifts of

various donations. From the youngest student in the Pre-playgroup class to the

older ones in Year 6, each student had something special to donate.

We received numerous food items, reusable clothing, clean shoes and more.

Some students came in with toys from their collection, which came in good
condition, showing that they taught this out clearly and invested their time in

thinking of the needs of others.

This year, we focused on creating awareness about The Oakbridge Foundation,

invested in educating underprivileged children and ensuring that they eat while

at school. We received various cash donations and bank transfers with much
delight towards this cause. We will announce the total figure gathered next

week.

Small acts of kindness can make a difference in someone’s day and brighten
their outlook. They can help lift people’s spirits, ease their worries, and make

them feel appreciated and loved. Even the smallest gesture can go a long way

in making someone feel valued and cared for.
