90 SECONDS OF FAME
articipating in my first “90 Seconds of Fame”
during a school maths competition was a
P nerve-wracking yet enlightening experience.
Tasked with solving and explaining a maths problem
in front of an audience within a mere minute and a
half, I grappled with the dual challenge of mathemat-
ical precision and clear, quick communication.
As a Year 11 student, this was uncharted territory. The
anticipation of presenting in such a condensed for-
mat, under the watchful eyes of peers and teachers,
fueled my apprehension. Yet, it was an invaluable op-
portunity to step out of my comfort zone.
The experience taught me the critical importance of
time in solving problems under pressure.
